Manaslu Circuit Trek – 15 Days

Experience the rugged beauty of Manaslu Circuit with stunning mountain views, remote villages, and the cultural richness of the Himalayas in this 15-day trek.

Tour Plan

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. Spend the day resting or exploring the bustling city and preparing for the trek ahead. An evening briefing about the trek and equipment check will be conducted.

Begin your journey with a scenic drive through the beautiful landscapes of Nepal’s countryside. The route takes you along winding roads beside rivers and mountain vistas, eventually reaching Machha Khola, the starting point of your trek.

From Machha Khola, you start trekking alongside the Budhi Gandaki River. The trail meanders through lush forests and small villages, giving you your first taste of the rugged beauty of the Manaslu region. Overnight stay in Jagat.

The trail continues climbing gradually through terraced fields and pine forests. You will cross suspension bridges and enjoy views of the towering peaks surrounding the valley. Arrive in Deng, a quaint mountain village, for overnight rest.

Today the trail becomes steeper as you gain altitude. You pass mani walls, monasteries, and small Tibetan-influenced villages. Namrung is a charming Sherpa settlement, rich in culture and offering spectacular views of the Ganesh Himal and Manaslu ranges.

The trail winds through alpine landscapes with fewer trees and more rugged terrain. Shyala is a remote village that gives you a glimpse into the traditional lifestyle of the locals living at high altitude.

A shorter day of trekking to help with acclimatization. The path leads through gentle slopes, rocky terrain, and high-altitude pastures. Samagon is a quiet village offering spectacular mountain views and a good place to rest.

Acclimatization is crucial at this altitude. Use this day to rest, take short hikes around the village, and prepare your body for the more challenging days ahead.

A relatively easy trek to Samdo, the last village before the high mountain pass. Samdo has a small settlement and several lodges where trekkers stay before the ascent to the Larkya La Pass.

Spend the day visiting the Tibetan border, experiencing the unique cultural and geographical atmosphere of the region. Return to Samdo for overnight rest.

Ascend higher into the alpine zone. Dharamsala serves as the base camp for crossing Larkya La Pass and is equipped with basic lodges. Rest and prepare for the challenging pass crossing.

The most demanding day of the trek, crossing the Larkya La Pass at 5,106 meters. The views from the pass are breathtaking, offering panoramic sights of the Himalayas. After the pass, descend to the lush valley of Bimthang for rest.

Descend further into lower altitudes through forests and riverside trails. Tilije is a peaceful village where you can relax and enjoy the verdant surroundings.

From Tilije, you will be driven back to Kathmandu. The drive offers views of terraced fields, villages, and mountains as you return to the city’s comforts.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey or international flight.
